Christmas rush?Heavy traffic?People are busy preparing gifts for their loved ones, friends, colleagues and etc. be it on their wish list, material thing or a vacation experience. Mostly we spend time and energy to find gifts on stores, shopping malls and markets. We even dive into a crowded market and does not care about the exhausting experience walking with the sea of people plus being aware of the dangers of pickpockets. We do all these efforts just to buy a gift for a lower price. The shopping malls that you often visit also prepare for this season, you can hear christmas charols and decorations everywhere. Not to mention that they extended their mall hours until midnight coinciding with christmas sales. Credit card companies offer cash advances, 0% interests for your convenience so you can buy the gifts you wanted, even there is "buy now,pay next year" program.

Marketing and Materialism:
Materialism dominated our mind as all the business establishment presents their effective gimmicks and advertisements. We satisfy our hunger for new and latest trendy gadgets. We spend more than what we needed, we spend more because we wanted them. Always remember that the word NEED is necessity for our survival and the word WANT is simply something that we would like to have and we can survive without it.
Wrong Mind Set:
We want gifts during this season and our love ones, friends, colleagues also like to receive gifts. Some people forget the true essence of this season. We feel obligated to give gifts, we just give gifts to satisfy the receiver's hunger for material things or sometime because it is our obligation to give gift most especially if we are included on "exchange gifts programs".
Sad bad true that some of us feel that way and honestly speaking, sometimes I feel that way also. Being bombarded with marketing strategies, we become impulsive buyers and regret the expenditures the following year. Sometimes, all of the businesses of christmas season drowned what is the correct essence and mind set of the people.
Be Creative:
To save money make your gifts and be more creative, try to make a gift that comes from your RIGHT BRAIN. Be creative, all of us have the ability to create and be artistic, we all have our artistic brain in our brain's right hemisphere. Believe me, when I was courting my wife years back, I make my own greeting card, I saved money and at the same time your love can be felt immediately because the words comes directly from your heart. If there is no personal messages, the effort on making the gift personalized by you, directly implies that you care about the one who will receive the gifts. Years ago, I printed out a prayer with a background designed edited on photoshop as a picture, put frame and gave it to relatives as a gifts. I really felt happy when after years have past, I saw one of the prayers I gave still intact and hanged on front door. Creativity is limitless, you can create something by yourself and it depends on you, how you will budget your personalized gifts. Be artistic.
Correct Mind Set:
If we need to buy toys and material things as a gift, it is ok; we all have allocated a budget on that (sometimes), but always remember that this season is about giving. We should always remember that the essence of GIVING should make ourselves happy, if we give something, it should be from the HEART, not because we expect something or gifts in return. Happier thoughts will make our lives more blessed and peaceful.We just let the Law of Attraction take action, if we give more love, we will attract more love. We do not need to expect it, it will come to our lives naturally.
Lets not just give LOVE on christmas day, lets do it everyday so the world would be a better place :)
